Publications
One of our core missions is to publish works related to theatre, ensuring that the knowledge and artistic practices developed within our collective are preserved and shared. Publishing play texts in spoken Arabic, the language in which they were created, is essential to making theatre more accessible to diverse audiences. Spoken Arabic carries the nuances, rhythms, and cultural specificities of the communities it represents, fostering deeper resonance and authenticity in theatrical storytelling. By preserving the language of performance, we maintain the work’s connection to its original context while simultaneously expanding its reach.
Furthermore, we consider the documentation of a theatre collective’s work processes to be vital for both archival and educational purposes. It safeguards methodologies beyond the ephemeral nature of live performance, allowing future generations to inherit, adapt, and build upon these experiences. By systematically recording these processes, we hope to contribute to a growing body of knowledge that theatre-makers can engage with—ensuring that collective practices, critical reflections, and experimental techniques are not only preserved but also serve as dynamic tools for artistic and cultural transmission across generations and geographies.
