The Gazelle of Akka” is a narration of chapters from the life of a young man born in Akka of the 1930s, whose short life witnessed a stormy and turbulent journey spanning forced displacement, becoming a refugee, and resisting injustice, ultimately ending in his assassination. He lived the life of a freedom fighter, as a writer, a literary figure, a journalist, a critic, a children’s author, as well as a talented painter who continued to love life to the fullest. He was brutally assassinated at the age of thirty-six. He is Ghassan Kanafani.
