Zoukak Studio hosts REDZONE Festival'18
This year, Zoukak Studio hosts REDZONE festival which features premieres of five artworks that explore the limits of freedom of expression and address the themes of war, religion and gender, highlighting the intricate relationship between violence, death, fear and forgiveness. Organized by Al Mawred (Culture Resource) in partnership with KKV- Norway.
Two performances will take place at Zoukak Studio between the 3rd and 8th of May: An interactive Installation by Bissane Al Sharif (Syria/Palestine), Chrystèle Khodr (Lebanon) and Wael Ali (Syria) and a concert by Jimi and a Saint.

I once entered a garden is a one-to-one interactive installation by Bissane Al Sharif (Syria/Palestine) and Chrystèle Khodr (Lebanon) and Wael Ali (Syria). The project questions the first sexual experiences and the discovery of the intimate life during times of war and peace in the Middle East. The work is based on the stories and the memories of adults who have lived their teenage years in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria.
Time slots should be reserved, reservations are made through Ihjoz or there might be a queue at the door.
Concert: Jimi and the Saint

A musical concert for Jimi and the Saint band to launch their first album which consists of 5 songs that tackle the ability of youth to express freely and challenge the barriers imposed on them socially and politically. The music that the band produces is a mix between rock music and electronic elements, and the live show is designed to deliver a unique blend of live music performance and visual programming which will make it a unique audiovisual experience.
The concert will be followed by a DJ Set by Nasri Sayegh.
