Youth Theatre Performance Mentored by Zoukak – Cycle 2
The second cycle of Youth Theatre Performance Mentored by Zoukak began this January, with a new group of 12 young people from different backgrounds that were selected through an open call.
The group will work together to create a theatre performance, as they participate in theatre training sessions conducted by Zoukak mentors, providing them with various practical tools and theatrical techniques, including physical and verbal improvisation and writing and composition exercises. They will be led through the creative process from conception to execution to the final outcome: a public performance in May.
In addition to leading the youths in a practical sense through the theatrical creation process, the project aims more generally to develop the participants’ critical and analytical thinking, their movement skills, and strengthen their expressive and listening skills, widening the imagination within a collaborative framework.
