TERDAD FESTIVAL
We are happy to announce the program of #TERDAD FESTIVAL!
Coming up on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July: Three days of public performances, workshops and screenings in various location across Beiut.
Organised by UNESCO Office in Beirut under the #Li_Beirut initiative for reviving the cultural scene in #Beirut, Terdad will take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July 2021 in various locations in Beirut: Sursock Musem, College Sacré Coeur Gemmayze, Vendome Stairs in Mar Mkhael, Electricité du Liban, and Karantina Public Park.
The program is curated by five cultural institutions working in Beirut: Zoukak Theatre Company, Metropolis Cinema, Maqamat Dance Theatre, and Samandal Comics. This collaborative effort comes after a year and half of ongoing crises that crippled the cultural scene and the country as a whole, with the aim to continue working and existing here together. It is also an attempt at reviving culture in Beirut after the Beirut Port explosion that happened last year, taking the lives of hundreds and changing the lives of Thousands of people.
An array of local artists from multiple disciplines will participate in this festival including: Zoukak Theatre Company, Kahraba Colletcive, Laban, Khouloud Yassine, Bassam Abou Diab, Alexandre Paulikevitch, Zayrakoun Collective, Artists from Samandal Collective, Hisham Jaber and musicians from Metro el Madina, Jad Atoui, Aya Metwalli, Nadia Daou, Anthony Sahyoun, Abed Kobeissy, Sary Moussa, Sharif Sehnaoui etc.
