Maya Zbib honored within Cairo's 27 international festival for experimental theatre

The Management of Cario's International Festival of Experimental Theatre has announced the list of artists who will be honored during the opening of the festival on Tuesday 1st of September, and among the list is the name of non-other than Maya Zbib, theatre writer, director and actor and founding member of Zoukak.

Tonight the festival will be honoring 8 artists from around the world for their roles and contributions to the creations and innovations in the field of Experimental theatre. The list includes late Egyptian academic and critic Dr Hassan Attieh, late Egyptian director Mansour Ahmad, late Egyptian director and actor Sami Salah, director Sami Taha, Zoukak's Maya Zbib, Swiss director and artistic director of NTGent Milo Rau, Fench director and scenographer Bruno Misa and Italian-Danish director Nolo Vakini. 

The festival will take place between the 1st and the 11th of September through live performances with a reduced audience capacity of 25%, and live streamed performances and talks.
