HAWADER - حواضر

Hawader
1st of November – 20th of December 2020

“Hawader” is a space for togetherness, a platform joining artistic organizations in Lebanon, creating a space and time, here and now, for collaboration, collective curation, dialogue and mutual support.

We are gathering our efforts because we believe that harmony, plurality and cooperation are at the core of sustainability.

Because today we need solidarity and fairness, we need radical change, we need to create and protect the possible and the potential.

After a year that witnessed social unrest, political and financial collapse and a global pandemic, and that culminated with the explosion of Beirut’s port, we decided to bring together our events under the banner of #Hawader, as a manifestation of a collective act of being in our contexts. We invite all our audiences to live out this experience with us from the 1^st of November until the 15^th of December.

Conveners organizations: Ashkal Alwan, Beirut DC, Ettijahat, Irtijal, Metropolis, Zoukak Theatre Company.

We are contacting cultural organizations across Lebanon to join us and curate their events within #Hawader; in case a cultural organization wishes to include their events’ details within #Hawader calendar, please contact us at: coordination@zoukak.org.
