Synopsis: The Gazelle of Akka
“The Gazelle of Akka” is a narration of chapters from the life of a young man born in Akka of the 1930s, whose short life witnessed a stormy and turbulent journey spanning forced displacement, becoming a refugee, and resisting injustice, ultimately ending in his assassination. He lived the life of a freedom fighter, as a writer, a literary figure, a journalist, a critic, a children’s author, as well as a talented painter who continued to love life to the fullest. He was brutally assassinated at the age of thirty-six. He is Ghassan Kanafani.

تروي «غزال عكّا» فصولًا من حياة شابٍ ولد في ثلاثينات القرن الماضي في عكّا، شهدت حياته القصيرة مسارًا شائكًا؛ من تهجيرٍ قسريٍّ ولجوء، حتى الاغتيال. شقّ حياته النضاليّة ككاتب وصحافيٍّ وناقدٍ وأديبٍ، وكاتب قصص أطفال ورسّامٍ مبدعٍ يعشقُ الحياة، حتى اغتيل في السادسة والثلاثين من عمره، وبقي اسمه أيقونة للتاريخ. إنه، غسّان كنفاني
