Synopsis:
Antoine, Tony, and Tanios live in poverty, stuck in an oppressive and unwelcoming space. As they struggle to survive and coexist, their traumas creep up on them in the form of memories they’ve been trying to suppress. Unable to escape either the mental or physical space that they find themselves in, they constantly lose their sense of reality and become immersed in images of their past. In these instances, the characters’ true mental state is revealed: denial, anger, anxiety, and depression are all laid bare. Eventually, the mounting psychological and economic pressures become unbearable, causing Tony to go into psychosis.

Hanna Yazbeck is a Lebanese 27-year-old writer and poet. His poetry has been published on a few online platforms such as “The Poetryhood Magazine”. He has pursued studies in both Theater and English Literature at the Lebanese University and has participated in many senior projects. He also participated in a few Theater workshops in the year 2022, including Beirut Summer School of Theater (BSSTP), “Directing for the Stage” with Omar Abi Azar, and Zoukak’s Directing workshop with Matthias Gehrt.

يعيش أنطوان، وطوني، وطانيوس في الفقر، عالقين في حيّز قمعيّ وغير مرحِّب. وفيما يجاهدون للبقاء والتّعايش، تتسلّل إليهم فاجعاتهم على شكل ذكريات كانوا يحاولون كبتها. نتيجة عجزهم عن الهروب من حيّزهم الذّهنيّ والجسديّ الّذين وجدوا أنفسهم فيه، يخسرون حسّهم الواقعيّ باستمرار فيغرقون في تصوّرات من ماضيهم. وفي مثل هذه اللّحظات، تظهر حالة الشّخصيّة النّفسيّة الحقيقيّة عارية: إنكار، غضب، قلق، اكتئاب. ومع الوقت، تصبح تراكمات الضّغوطات النّفسيّة والاقتصاديّة لا تطاق مسبّبة لطوني الدّخول في حالة من الذُّهان.

حنّا يزبك كاتب وشاعر لبناني في السّابعة والعشرين من عمره. لقد نُشِر شعره مرّات متعدّدة على منصّات إلكترونيّة كمجلّة "الحيّ الشّعري". تابع دراساتٍ في المسرح والأدب الإنجليزي في الجامعة اللّبنانيّة وشارك في مشاريع طلّابيّة متعدّدة. وشارك حنّا أيضًا ببعض الورشات المسرحيّة خلال عام ٢٠٢٢، ومنها: مدرسة بيروت الصيفية للمسرح وفنون الأداء، "الإخراج المسرحيّ" مع عمر أبي عزار ، وورشة زقاق للإخراج مع ماتياس جرت.
