A Thousand Cranes
A theatre performance
Synopsis:
A family play for adults and children ages 8 and above. It follows the story of Sadako, a 12-year-old girl who loves running. Tragically, she is diagnosed with leukemia due to radiation exposure from the atomic bomb that devastated Hiroshima a decade earlier. Her friend Kenji reminds her of the thousand cranes legend. This becomes her new race, to fold a thousand paper cranes to get better.

ملخّص:
مسرحية للكبار والصغار من عمر ٨ سنوات. تتناول المسرحية قصة “ساداكو”، فتاة في ١٢ من عمرها تحب الركض والسباق. تصاب بلوكيميا نتيجة إشعاعات من القنبلة النووية في هيروشيما منذ ١٠ سنوات. صديقها “كنجي” يذكّرها بأسطورة عصافير الورق. ، فيصبح لديها سباق جديد، ان تطوي ألف عصفور ورق لكي تشفى.
